Stay Focused On Your Journey

Stay Focused on Your Journey

Each one of us have our own unique and special path that we must take to Fly Free. Living a life without limitations is not about simply fulfilling a goal but its the journey to find yourself, discover your passion, live to your maximum potential and enjoy life at your greatest. Along that path, there will be an abundance of emotions,  difficult  decisions, relationships and self discovery. As you go through it there's one major discipline for success that I want to share with you. The discipline of FOCUS!

Discipling yourself to remain focused against all odds is not always easy but it is definitely necessary. You'll have to practice at it, but if you can conquer FOCUS your goals will become unstoppable. Nothing can out run focus because focus sets your mind in motion to complete the task at hand no matter what is thrown your way. Having a path for your journey doesn't amount to much if you don't get on the path & stay committed to the finish. Focus keeps you aligned for the finish! One of the biggest areas we loose focus in is dealing with people.

Along the journey your circles will expand & change. You'll begin to meet people that are a lot like you in many different ways. You can have similar visions, like passions & same experiences but as you go through life always remember to stay focused on YOUR journey. So many people get derailed by allowing their attention to be centered on other people's journeys. Your neighbor's success (or failure) is a life lesson that comes to prepare them to carry out the plan for their life. Every promotion & demotion, trial & tragedy and joy & pain builds character is made completely for the person encountering it. Life experience is for the furthering of our future. Whether good or bad, don't get distracted by what's going on in someone else's world.  When you do, it gives room for jealousy, envy, fear and confusion. That's definitely not a place you want to live your life from.

Don't miss what is meant for you being consumed with what someone else has. As a friend, business associate or family member your role is to support those around you. Be happy for people when they excel in their journey. Be there for them when tough times arise. Celebrate their successes & cheer them on but NEVER EVER allow another persons' path be a distraction to your future. You have a road to travel, choose to travel your own.

Get Reacquainted With Your Dreams

It's time to fall in love with your purpose, passion and dreams ALL OVER AGAIN. We all experience seasons of discouragement that are meant to bring us down, but let me remind you, it didn't destroy you. You may have been hurt, disappointed or even lost some things in the process but you are still here! You have breath and the capacity to dream again.

We often get stuck on the pain of disappointment, but have you sat down to account for all the things that you gained the last time you took a huge leap of faith? There are life lessons that came out of your "last time" that will help you to be better "this time" around. Instead of completely giving up, simply get reacquainted with your dreams and apply those life lessons to the process.

It's not what you experienced that kills you, it's how you respond. The hour for responding in fear and unbelief are over. This is the perfect time to allow your dreams to arise. Start all over again! Get to know your passions again! Get to know your purpose again! Most of all, get rid of the excuses from past pain! I know it's easier said that done, but it's necessary to move forward. There are so many people waiting for you. They are waiting on your business, your inventions, your non-profit organizations, for you to finish school, for your friendship and so much more. What are you waiting for? Dust the cobwebs off of your faith and let's do this!

You have what it takes to get there! Dream Again!

Don't Go At It Alone

In the process of change, there is always a huge temptation to isolate yourself. It starts with thoughts that no one truly understands your process of change. As tempting as it may be to do and to believe, I want you to know that isolation is the number one destroyer of dreams, goals and accomplishments. As humans, we are created to be relational beings and having relationships is a major part of your life.

Change is a journey. Whether you are going natural, loosing weight, opening a business or finishing school, change has its ups, downs, rewards and sacrifices. It is important that you have a support team that can help you navigate through your seasons of change. You need those that will encourage you, inspire you, check you and help guide you through the process. When you go at it alone, you give room for discouragement, defeat and discontentment to distract you from your ultimate goal. That is not the making of a healthy success environment.

I want to challenge you to look around you assess your success environment:

Do you have a support team around you?
Do you have things that inspire you when the road gets tough?
Have you created a distress plan? Something you can do or look at to get re-focused on your goal.
Are you being held accountable to making your dream or goal happen in a reasonable time?

If you're going to get to the finish line and survive your time of change, you're going to have to create an atmosphere of motivation and inspiration to get it done. Don't give up...get a team! There are plenty of people who believe in your dream!
